A chamber reserve is where the library reserves a specific piece of music for you that has been assigned for chamber music class. Instead of one group member checking out the library’s chamber set at the circulation desk, each part is checked out to each individual player for the entire semester.

When a piece is on chamber reserve, each part is checked out to each player and is lent out for the entire semester. Chamber reserves are processed in this way so that each member of a chamber group is responsible for their own part and not the parts of others. Chamber reserves are also connected to the chamber music class and each group is typically assigned by faculty.

The due date for chamber reserves is the Wednesday of the semester's finals week.
