The best way to look for an item in the library is:

1- find it in the catalog (Stan Getz Library - Albert Alphin Library)

2- write down the complete call number and shelving location

Shelving locations:

  • Library Stacks - patrons can access this area. Open this FAQ on how to read a call number or ask for help at the circulation desk.

  • Annex - patrons don't have access to this area. Request the item at the circulation desk or consider placing a hold.

  • Reserve - this collection is located behind the circulation desk.

  • Off-site storage - this is an off-campus area. Request the item by placing a hold.
